$1,000 reward for information on weapon used in Lake Placid attempted homicide
On Aug. 5, 2023 the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office responded to an attempted homicide in Leisure Lakes area of Lake Placid. The suspect has since been taken into custody. However, they need assistance locating the weapon involved.
Heartland Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for a tip that assists in locating the weapon.
The weapon they are looking for is a Springfield Hellcat 9mm. The gun has an ADE red laser and a Swampfox sight attached. *Photos are not the actual weapon.*
